Join us for a night under the stars at South Chagrin Reservation. We will start our adventure with a short hike (bring your flashlights!) and then we will warm ourselves around the fire with classic campfire songs, a drum circle (if you have one, bring a small percussion instrument!), and stories celebrating Native American Heritage Month! We will also toast marshmallows and enjoy s‘mores by the firelight! Meet us in the Henry Church Rock parking lot. If you enter the park from SOM, follow the road straight down until it dead ends into the parking lot on your right.
Come join us for some fun in the garden! Kids will be able to dig in the mud pit, cook in the mud kitchen, and explore the rest of the garden. Plan to get dirty and dress for the weather. Please one adult only in attendance per family. Ages: 18 months - 5 years.
Join us in exploring Pioneer‘s Outdoor Classroom. Sandbox, mud kitchen, playhouse, basketball hoop, etc. Plan to get dirty and dress for the weather. Ages: 18 months+.
Join us for a stroller friendly walk on a paved loop through Acacia Reservation. Meet up at the picnic tables behind the Clubhouse next to the main parking lot on Cedar Road. Drinks and snacks will be provided before the walk. Bundle up, pack a lunch, and stay afterward to play in the open green area. Acacia Reservation, a 155-acre green space oasis, is located in the City of Lyndhurst. The west branch of Euclid Creek flows northwest through Acacia Reservation to join the main creek branch in Euclid Creek Reservation. A 1.7-mile paved loop trail is located in the Reservation.
Come enjoy intriguing aquatic life from the Great Lakes and colorful sea creatures from around the globe at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium. After participating in an interactive reading of the Eric Carle tale A House for Hermit Crab, an Aquarium tour reveals the real-life animals that inspired Carle’s characters. Students join Aquarium educators on a search for the stars of the story. Discover shapes, colors and patterns of aquatic animals, and practice counting along the way. Enhances standards in life science, science inquiry and language arts. Pack a lunch to enjoy with friends after the tour!
We‘ve partnered with Rotaract PLUS NEO to craft up mod podge vases for senior citizens. We will be using tissue paper and mod podge so be prepared to get a little sticky. We will be in the Lower Level.
There will be a second date for flowers to be placed in the vases and delivery.
