Events - Week View

In collaboration with Solon Center of the Arts (SCA), we will be offering a summer camp just for SECPTA again this year! Session #1 is from 9:30am-11am and session #2 is from 11am-12:30pm each day during the week of June 30th (no class on Friday July 4). Camp will focus on a different discipline each day: Art, Dance/Movement, Theater, and Music!

Monday June 30th: DANCE/MOVEMENT - With a focus on rhythmic awareness, active movement and basic coordination, this class for little ones will provide a fun and engaging introduction to movement! Young students explore forms of self-expression and imagination through guided movement, activities and games! Students will improve basic coordination and rhythm while learning to dance.

Tuesday July 1st: ART - Let’s get these little artists being messy and creative. They will express themselves in multimedia projects but also refine fine motor skills such as holding a pencil and cutting.

Wednesday July 2nd: THEATER - This class will introduce your little ones to the stage as we explore the basic fundamentals of theater. Students will play theater games that explore using their voices, bodies and imaginations to create stories and have fun! Students will explore songs, games and more as we play together in the world of Theater.

Thursday July 3rd: MUSIC - instruments, song, and a creative introduction to musical concepts.

Students must be potty trained and between ages 3-7. **This is a ticketed event, no refunds will be given for cancellations unless you are able to find another member who is able to take your place.**

Please note the difference in registration for this event! Members only need to register their children for our summer camps. If you are signing up one kid then register as "Me Only" if you have more than one kid then register as "Me + Guest."

SECPTA Homeschoolers will be hosting casual, fun meet ups for homeschooling families to play and socialize. All events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted. You can register on our website to receive a reminder email 2 days prior to the event date. Events will be held weather permitting.
Come fall 2025, SECPTA Homeschoolers will have two options for homeschooling families to participate in activities:
1. Weekly enrichment classes taught by co-op parents;
2. Monthly projects, interest activities/clubs, and field trips hosted by co-op parents.

Join us for Picnic Pals at Kiwanis-Moore Park & Splash Pad in Aurora. Meet SECPTA friends and enjoy some outside playtime.

Ride on the SECPTA float (or bed of truck, pending amount of people) and show off your SECPTA spirit!

The parade will start on SR 306 (Chillicothe Road), turn onto W. Pioneer Trail, and end at the Aurora High School Parking lot
-Use the high school parking lot if you need to pick up parade participants after the parade.

Arrive at Barrington Town Square parking lot for parade between 10:15-10:30am.
Parade begins: Approx 11am

Adults will be passing out information about SECPTA and Children will be riding in the bed of a truck or on a trailer/float (depends on number of people who want to participate).

Please wear either a SECPTA shirt (sports shirts work great) OR Red, White, and Blue! Comfortable shoes are a must.
