Join us at Lake Metroparks Farmpark for Springtime on the Farm! The day will begin with a short program about farming and gardening and all the kids will be able plant a seed to bring home! After that, you’re free to enjoy all the Farm Park has to offer—meet animals, milk a cow, see sheep herding, and explore the playgrounds with friends! Children under two are free but do need to register to receive a ticket. *This event is limited to 50 people total.*

Join SECPTA friends to make salsas and learn about (and sample!) Mexican cuisine with Chef Jorge and his family! Participants should be 4 years and older, but younger siblings are welcome to sample all the foods at no additional cost. Attendees will prepare the picos as they learn some fun facts about Mexico and its cuisine. We will also listen to music and color an Alebrije image as we learn about this form of Mexican folk art. For those with a sweet tooth, we will also have some Mexican sweets to enjoy! *This event is limited to 30 people total, including adults, so please only register and bring one adult per child.*

Hey adults come out and learn how to shoot archery with us! Ever watch Brave one too many times and have an itch to try out Merida‘s favorite sport, well now is your chance!


We will be under the direction of J & J outdoors. In the lesson we would explore the fundamentals taking a deep dive into the safety protocols with the archery range. We will also discuss the tools and equipment we use to set up our archery equipment. We will then explore what building a proper archery shot looks like and how we create consistency in our process. We will wrap up with a talk about continuing our education and progressive skills development. Bring you enthusiasm to learn, all the equipment will be provided for us.

Join us at the City of Solon Service Department for touch a truck! A community helper will tour us through the fleet of Solon service vehicles and teach us what each vehicle does for our community. We will see, and most importantly, get to touch and look inside of, a trash truck, recycling truck, dump truck, and many other service vehicles! All ages are welcome.

This is a mom-only, total-body workout that is challenging, empowering, and energizing. By combining cardio, strength, core training, and meditation, you will leave this workout refreshed and recharged for all that comes with motherhood. Turn right and follow the hallway through the double doors. The community room is at the back. Participants should bring a yoga mat or towel and water to drink. No children are permitted, just adults.

This class promises a heart-pumping cardio based workout designed to increase your endurance while also developing speed, agility and quickness to help you sprint through motherhood. Participants will need a stroller, water to drink, and whatever they’ll need to keep their kiddos happy (toys, snacks, etc). Moms without little ones with them are also welcome to come! (Big kids are welcome too- they’ll just sit on a chair/blanket next to mom).

We will meet in the Glen Meadow (Twinsburg) parking lot to start.

Have fun with SECTPA friends for a day at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. The extraordinary new Visitor Hall showcases some of the Museum‘s most beloved attractions, including Haplocanthosaurus (Happy), Balto, Dunkleosteus (Dunk), Lucy, the Moon rock, and more. Admission includes 3D movies, programs in the Planetarium, the live animals in the Perkins Wildlife Center, and more! On weekdays at 11am, join our early-childhood educators in the Smead Discovery Center for a special show-and-tell program. Experience the unexpected at the all-new Perkins Wildlife Center, where soaring walkways wind through a wild forest, stunning views of wildlife are found all around and immersive experiences put you closer to Ohio nature than ever before. Please arrive promptly by 10am at the ticket area for admission into the museum. The Museum‘s attached parking garage offers convenient access. Need to get some energy out? Rock the Spectrum is the perfect outlet! This indoor playground is fully equipped for all ages and levels from crawling through older kids. There are separate area for smaller kids, a fine motor and arts and crafts area, and larger equipment such as zip line, rock wall, and a trampoline for the experienced. 1 and under is free if accompanied by an older sibling. Alternative date 5/29 if they‘re closed for private field trip on 5/28.

Join SECPTA at Memphis Kiddie Park! Kids will get a wristband for 2 hours of unlimited rides, and at the end of the event, each kid will receive a drink, popcorn, and a balloon. Kids must be under 50in to ride every ride. Adults can ride 3 rides, but need to purchase tickets separately.

In collaboration with Solon Center of the Arts (SCA), we will be offering a summer camp featuring a daily focus. Session #1 is from 9-10:30am each day during the week of July 1 (no class on July 4). Camp will focus on a different discipline each day: Art, Dance, Theater, and Music! ART – Let’s get these little artists being messy and creative. They will express themselves in multimedia projects but also refine fine motor skills such as holding a pencil and cutting. THEATER - This class will introduce your little ones to the stage as we explore the basic fundamentals of theater. Students will play theater games that explore using their voices, bodies and imaginations to create stories and have fun! Students will explore songs, games and more as we play together in the world of Theater. DANCE - With a focus on rhythmic awareness, active movement and basic coordination, this class for little ones will provide a fun and engaging introduction to movement! Young students explore forms of self-expression and imagination through guided movement, activities and games! Students will improve basic coordination and rhythm while learning to dance. MUSIC - instruments, song, and a creative introduction to musical concepts. Students must be potty trained and between ages 3-7. **This is a ticketed event, no refunds will be given for cancellations unless you are able to find another member who is able to take your place.**

Please note the difference in registration for this event! Members only need to register their children for our summer camps. If you are signing up one kid then register as "Me Only" if you have more than one kid then register as "Me + Guest."
