Join SECPTA at The Elite Gymnastics Academy for an hour of gymnastics games, obstacle courses, and loosely structured instruction on the gymnastics equipment. Coaches will tailor the activities to each child’s age, so the kids will be grouped accordingly. Ages: 18 months - 8 years.

Let‘s dive under the sea and create art depicting majestic ocean animals like sharks, octopus, and whales. Young artists will learn how to draw ocean animals step by step and then paint their creations using tempera paint. We’ll explore a fun salt technique to add texture and movement to our underwater scenes. Perfect for curious and creative artists. Fitness Club has their own PRIVATE group lesson scheduled for Wednesday March 4th at 6pm. I don‘t know about you, but I‘ve always wanted to try this and would never be brave enough to try out a public class!

We‘ll be pretty close to Pinecrest if anyone wants to do Condado or Pinstripes or something else afterwards!!

Come meet the team and take a tour of the Our Community Hunger Center in Twinsburg. Participating families are asked to bring donations of perishable and/or nonperishable items to the food pantry, which the kids will help sort after we take a tour and learn all about how the hunger center takes care of our community members facing food insecurity. We will read a story called Maddi‘s Fridge and a treat will be provided and shared with the food pantry staff. Most needed items: canned fruits (in water not syrup) and vegetables (anything other than corn, green beans, and carrots), peanut butter and jelly, canned fish and meat, canned pasta, corned beef hash, dumplings, hearty stew, dinner kits (e.g. Pizza, Mexican, Chinese, Helper meals), and also any perishable items you would like to donate such as milk, butter, bread, fruit, and yogurt. Anything you bring will be appreciated! *This event is limited to 30 people per the Center’s request.*

At World Champion Taekwondo, classes are designed to be both fun and high-energy, creating an exciting learning environment. During this class, participants will be shown some class etiquette and will learn by watching other students and by taking direction from the instructors--no prior experience is expected. Students will do stretching and conditioning and then the class will break up into groups by age to learn material appropriate to their age and experience level. This class will provide both preschool- and elementary-aged children a fun introduction to taekwondo! Ages: 3-10 years.

Amazing local mom, Tiffany Perry, owns an adorable little shop in Chagrin Falls called the Artful Yarn and we will be meeting at the shop to learn to knit or to work on new or ongoing knit or crochet projects together while enjoying the good company of other SECPTA moms and tasty refreshments. You‘re welcome to BYO alcoholic beverages and SECPTA will provide snacks, desserts, and seltzers.

Tiffany will be extending a special 15% off offer for any purchases made during the event. If you are learning to knit, SECPTA will subsidize a portion of the cost, which includes knitting needles and a skein of yarn. Whatever experience level, if you already know how to knit or crochet, others will be available to provide guidance on your projects.

Step into the world of dinosaurs and ancient creatures in this hands-on clay workshop for ages 3–6. Young artists will use clay to hatch mysterious eggs, play footprint detective, and discover clues from the past. Kids will also create their own fossils to take home and enjoy long after the workshop ends. This playful class encourages imagination, sensory exploration, and fine motor skills through creative clay activities. Please note, this is not a drop-off event. Agest: 3-6 years.

Calling all bakers ages 5 and up! Enjoy a fun, hands-on cooking event at the Young Chefs Academy! Your young chef(s) will make lava cake from scratch, doing all the mixing, measuring, and preparation involved! Best of all, at the end, the children will eat what they made and take a copy of the recipe home. This is a drop-off event and older siblings are welcome! *This class is strictly for children ages 5 and up. No parents will be permitted into the kitchen with the kids, there is a lobby out front where adults can wait if they choose. The children will be working with the Chefs and cooking assistants.*

We‘ll explore vibrant murals, uncover hidden sculptures, and investigate historical markers, learning how local art tells our community‘s story. Students will use observation skills to find clues, discuss themes of identity and history, and then create their own mini-murals or design a local landmark to share what they‘ve discovered about our unique neighborhood."

Homeschoolers (or any SECPTA kids ages 5+) are welcome to join us for a naturalist-led STEM field trip at Jordan Creek Environmental Learning Center exploring motion and how it is affected by force, friction and speed. Bring a packed lunch, afterwards we can check out their amazing outdoor Adventure Play area or take a hike down to the creek. (Dress appropriately and/or bring a change of clothes.)

"If you want anything to move, you have to give it a push or
pull. Observe and demonstrate Newton’s laws of motion and
gravity through activities using forces on wheels and rockets.
Students design stomp rockets to launch to demonstrate
force and gravity."

Join us for a wild afternoon of painting on everything from a canvas to your friend with Glow-in-the-dark paint! Every guest will be provided with a 16” x 20” black canvas (take it home with you the day of your visit or let it dry and come back for it), 6 containers of different colors of glow paint, paint brushes and a squirt gun full of glow paint. That’s enough paint to cover your canvas, the entire room and/or your friends in ultra-bright neon washable glow paint! Protective gear is provided – lab coats, safety glasses, hair bonnets and foot booties. We recommend coming prepared to get a little messy! Restrooms are available for cleaning up or for changing afterwards if you would like to. We have reserved a party room to hang out in while not painting. It‘s free to come hang out in the party room and not paint - there is a TV on the wall to watch the madness in the paint room. Outside food and drinks allowed. **This is a ticketed event, no refunds will be given for cancellations unless another member on waitlist is able to purchase the ticket.**

Head over to the Solon library after school for a Pokemon trading, battling, crafting, and snacking event. Bring cards to trade, decks to battle with, and figures to play with as well. SECPTA will provide snacks as well as coloring pages and a Pokemon craft.
