We will explore nature using our senses in this naturalist-led hike. We will listen for birds and other wildlife, smell a variety of plants (maybe even an animal!), see the world around us, and touch a few things along the way. The naturalist will make a special effort to make this program fun for both older siblings who are off school and your littles too! Dress for the weather (though if weather is inclement we will move the program inside) and please note that this is not a stroller-friendly hike, so bring your baby carrier! Don‘t forget to pack a lunch so that you can play with SECPTA friends in the nature play area or the Nature Center after the program, weather depending. Type in Brecksville Nature Center into GPS or you will get lost!

Join your SECPTA friends for a fun morning building your own Cocoa Ornament at Home Depot! This monthly event is free for all, but please register with SECPTA because we will have our own SECPTA table reserved. Arrive between 9am and 10am to take advantage of our own private table before it is released to the public. All participating kids will not only get to keep their project, but will also receive a certificate of achievement, a workshop apron, and a commemorative pin. You can also pre-register on the Home Depot website so they can anticipate us, https://www.homedepot.com/c/kids. Kids will do best with one-on-one adult supervision, as they will be using real tools, wood and nails (think hammers), so safety is paramount. Dress for mess as they will have the opportunity to paint their projects, too. Hope to see you there! Ages: 2+ years with adult supervision.
