Adults and children are welcome to join us for an impactful service night! Help us make a big impact by visiting a variety of stations and lending a hand in helping organizations in the community. This is a child friendly event and a great way to introduce children to the idea of service learning. Please consider bringing a donation of little legos, new or gently used, that could fit into a backpack to give to kids at the Homeless Stand Down event occurring in Cleveland on April 26th.
Come enjoy a fun morning filled with crafts, snacks, and adult socializing. This is a 3-hour event that you can come and go as you please. Adults bring the craft(s) you want to work on. Children can come and play while adult crafts. We will Not have a craft specifically for children.
Adult Craft: We will be making custom reusable popsicle holders. Supplies will be provided.
Join our friends in the Chagrin Valley Islamic Center Little Blossoms Parents‘ Group to share yummy snacks and do some Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr themed crafts!
Join SECPTA at Kids Empire, a new indoor play place that offers lots of fun for your little ones (and big siblings too)! Socks are required for everyone. 2 adults get in free per 1 child. You can stay until close, but please arrive sometime between 3:15 and 6:30 so the field trip host can check you in!
Join us for a fun morning learning some basic baseball skills (throwing, running bases and just getting energy out). There will be an instructor working with the kids in a mini clinic-like setting.

Join us for a morning out in nature with a scavenger hunt at Frohring Meadows. We will meet in the Katydid Lodge and go from there. This 298-acre park features a 100-acre prairie and trails through the woodlands. Two trails total 3.5 miles. After the scavenger hunt, all ages will enjoy a Pollinator Play Garden, added in 2022 by the Foundation for Geauga Parks, and tetherball nearby the lodge. A pizza lunch will be provided along with juice boxes. Dress for the weather, and we‘ll see you there! (In case of particularly bad weather, activities will be planned for inside Katydid Lodge along with the pizza).
SECPTA members will enjoy an early civics lesson as we tour city hall and read a story with the Solon mayor, Eddie Kraus! During our tour, we will learn about what employees do at city hall. Next, we will visit the city council chambers where Mayor Kraus will read a story and we will enjoy some donuts with our SECPTA and city hall friends!
Chirp Chirp! Let‘s explore and learn about chicks and chickens. There will be a story, different stations to explore, and adorable chicks and hens to chase and hold - if you can catch them!
Join us for a playdate at Riverside Park (use E Orange Street Chagrin Falls, OH - Chagrin Falls Library as GPS address. Playground is located behind library and there is a path to walk down from library parking lot). Meet SECPTA friends and enjoy some outside playtime.
Feel free to pack a lunch and enjoy with your friends.

Join us for a fun morning making chocolate zucchini bread! Families will leave with a disposable bread pan ready for the oven. This class is a great way for parents to get ideas of how to involve children with food prep and cooking at home. Please email Kate at fieldtrips@secpta.net if your child has a food allergy so that we can prepare something allergy-friendly for your family.
Calling all bakers ages 4 and up! Enjoy a fun, hands-on cooking event at the Young Chefs Academy! Your young chef(s) will make garlic herb bowties and Mexican wedding cookies from scratch, doing all the mixing, measuring, and preparation involved! Best of all, at the end, the children will eat what they made and take a copy of the recipe home. This is a drop-off event and older siblings are welcome! *This class is strictly for children ages 4 and up and limited to 25 kids. No parents will be permitted into the kitchen with the kids, there is a lobby out front where adults can wait if they choose. The children will be working with the Chefs and cooking assistants.*
SECPTA is sponsoring family-friendly crafts and activities at the City of Solon‘s Earth Day celebration and opening of the new community garden. Stay tuned on the SECPTA Members Facebook Page for details about a special program about gardening with your children, kids yoga, seed planting, and more! You can park at Parkside near the soccer fields.
With a script written by Mo Willems, the creator of the #1 New York Times best-selling, Caldecott Honor award-winning "Pigeon" picture books, this musical is even more fun than staying up late and having a hot dog party! It‘s not easy being the Pigeon-you never get to do ANYTHING! But when the Bus Driver has a crisis that threatens to make her passengers (gasp!) late, maybe that wily bird CAN do something. Featuring an innovative mix of songs, and feathers, Don‘t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! is sure to get everyone‘s wings flapping. Tickets are nonrefundable as this is a prepaid, ticketed event.
Take your kids out to the ballgame with SECPTA! We will be cheering on the Guardians during Kids Fun Day at Progressive field as they play the Kansas City Royals. Stay after the game for Kids Run the Bases! Our seats will be all together in the family deck next to the Kids Clubhouse. You do not have to purchase a separate ticket for children under 3 as long as they sit in an adult‘s lap.
Come join us for some fun in the garden! Kids will be able to dig in the mud pit, cook in the mud kitchen, and explore the rest of the garden. Plan to get dirty and dress for the weather.

POUND is a full body cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums. Each 2-4 min song is carefully calibrated with interval peaks and extended fat burning sequences, providing you with the best workout in the shortest span of time.
A FREE (thanks to SECPTA) private POUND class just for us will take place at 6:30pm on Monday April 14th at the Henry Church Rock picnic area in Bentleyville, near the firepit. In the event of rain we will meet under the pavilion.
Drop off your little ones at Storybook Yoga a mini-camp with an interactive story-based yoga class celebrating Earth Day that‘s been designed just for our SECPTA kids! Each class incorporates common yoga poses and movement into a fun story, fostering creative thinking, and a love for reading. The session includes an age-appropriate craft, which coordinates with the story. Yoga mats are provided. Please dress comfortably and bring water! For this drop-off class, three year-olds must be fully potty-trained and able to separate from their parent. Older siblings are welcome at this mixed-age and -experience level class. After yoga and crafting, kids will enjoy free-play with all Ms. Julie‘s awesome toys! Please note, this is a 2-hour drop off event, so get some grocery shopping done, go pick up dinner, or treat yourself to a coffee while your kids have fun!

Come out to Hidden Pastures for a fun day at the farm! Everyone will have a chance to pet, feed and snuggle all the animals, learn fun facts and ride the pony (Pony rides are dependent on child‘s size). There is also a playground for the kiddos to enjoy.

Chase away the end of winter blues with a night of comedy! Affable, charismatic and one of a kind, Fortune?Feimster is a standup comedian, writer and actor who uses her confessional comedy to bring people together. Through laughter and storytelling,?Fortune?shows audiences of all ages, backgrounds, and sexual orientations that common ground is only a joke or two away. If you don’t already love her, be sure to check out her past Netflix specials to get ready for the new tour!
The cost is $29.25 per person for orchestra level seats. This is a ticketed event, no refunds will be given for cancellations unless another member on waitlist is able to purchase the ticket. Please register by February 27th so we can finalize our order.

This event is one parent or caregiver per child, but you can sign up both adults in your membership each with a child. You will be baking with your child, this is not a drop-off event. Ages: 3+ years (or older 2 at parent’s discretion).
Can your kids eat pizza everyday? If so, it‘s time to make some pizzas! and personalize the shape and topping to their own likings (though my kid is basic, just wants cheese...) Stay and play after and enjoy your kids‘ pizza creation.
Celebrate Earth Day with the ultimate eco-friendly activity...planting a tree with an ISA-certified arborist! Little Nature Explorers will help dig the hole, break up the roots, mix the soil additives, plant, and water native trees. We will learn about why trees are so important and who they help. We will also go on a nature hike along the Cuyahoga River and look for wildflowers and evidence of the animals with whom we share our planet. No Earth Day experience would be complete without a reading of The Lorax and some snacks that grew on trees. Kids will take home a pollinator-friendly native perennial to plant at home. Dress for Spring weather (boots) and prepare for mud!
All general meetings include complimentary childcare in a room immediately adjacent to the meeting room as well as pizza. This year’s childcare will be provided by the On Your Toes Dance Studio Booster Club.

Please join SECPTA in celebrating the opening of Sebastian‘s Playground at the Solon Community Park. This event is an opportunity to remember the life of sweet Sebastian Botirius, who passed away in 2022 when he was just four years old. Sebastian‘s family has been part of the SECPTA community for a long time. The opening of this inclusive playground, built in his memory, is a way to keep Sebastian‘s joyful spirit alive, not just for those who were fortunate enough to know him, but for all the children who will be able to play together in this lovingly designed space created in his honor. We will be making green bracelets at the SECPTA Service Night on April 2nd and at the April General Meeting to wear and pass out to others at the dedication party. The party will include kids‘ activities, music, bouncy houses, food trucks and so much more. Please join us in remembering and celebrating Sebastian at his new playground. The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 10:30am and the festivities will go on from 11am-1pm.
Time to refresh those family photos for Spring or grab some mother and mini‘s photos to celebrate your motherhood journey! This spring photo session will be 15 minutes and includes 15 edited digital images.
Come get some energy out on the ninja obstacle course and climbing structures. This is a designated toddler open gym at Adrenaline Monkey but older siblings are welcome. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to check in before playtime starts. Ages: 3+ years.

SECPTA only exists because of volunteers and our community so we‘d love to chat with you if you‘re interested in getting involved!
Come join USA Ninja Challenge - an obstacle course training program combining basic skills from gymnastics, rock climbing and track and field, including a range of jumping, swinging, climbing, balance and floor skills. They‘ll have a great time learning about the sport of ninja and at the same time learning fundamental skills such as team interactions, physical and social skills.
Join SECPTA for some midweek family bowling. We will have six private lanes reserved for 36 bowlers. The price for each bowler includes 2 hours of bowling and shoe rental. Consider coming early if you plan to order dinner while you bowl. *Adults who are spectators and are not bowling are free.
