Join us for a hayride, stopping along the way to observe and learn about the crops, as well as to pick a pumpkin from the patch. Also enjoy time at your leisure exploring 50+ farm activities! Fall fun activities include but not limited to: Corn Barn, Tire Playground, Hamster Wheel, Chalk Truck, Corn Mazes, Feeding Goats, Wagon Train and much much more! Picnic facilities are available for packed lunches and items are available for purchase in the country store. *Our hayride will leave propmptly at 10am, please plan to be there at or before this time so you do not miss the ride.*

A Liberty Park naturalist will lead a 30-45 minute program all about autumn. We’ll use our senses to experience seasonal changes on a short walk, so remember to dress for the weather. Pack a lunch and after the program, enjoy exploring the Liberty Park Nature Center, visiting the Nature Play Area, and/or taking a hike on one of the trails with friends.

SECPTA Soccer is back for 2024! Children aged 3-5 of SECPTA members are eligible to play and have fun learning the basics of the game! Registration begins July 1! Must register each child separately, cost is $30 per child.

Join Fitness Club on a Saturday afternoon hike at Nelson‘s Ledges State Park. 1.5 miles total ranging from Easy to Extreme difficulty. Mostly moderate, extreme portion (0.2 miles) is skippable if you‘re not up for bouldering.

Dogs allowed, not stroller accessible, not recommended for toddlers/young children (slippery cliffs). Toddlers in hiking frame packs should be fine. Wear appropriate footwear!

This class will combine to involve both theater and dance! In this fun and engaging introduction to movement student will explore forms of self-expression and imagination through guided movement, activities and theater games! Please wear tennis shoes or close toed shoes. Ages 3-5.

Meet up with SECPTA friends for a beautiful fall afternoon/evening at the farm. U-pick dahlias, raspberries, grapes, and apples are available in October, so come make a bouquet, pick some tasty fruit, and take some fall photos at this beautiful family farm!

Join SECPTA at Pumpkin Village at Mapleside Farms Fall Festival, with dozens of special attractions to make everyone feel like a kid again. Explore the Giant Corn Maze (one of the biggest and best in the Midwest), take a tour of the orchard in the Cow and Pig Trains, enjoy the scenic Hayride, rocket down the longest slide in America when you ride the 311 foot “Super Slide", fly high on the Two Giant Jump Pillows, and so much more! Each weekend will feature a different theme with live performers to match, and the weekend of October 12th is superhero-themed! Wear your best superhero gear! Make sure to feast on some incredible food and remember to bring home some delicious apples, caramel apples, or apple pie! Please arrive promptly to receive your admission tickets.

Join us at the Orange library meeting room for a Diwali celebration! We will do crafts, decorate Diwali cookies, watch a Bollywood dance troop, and enjoy some delicious Indian snacks. Our friends from the Solon High School Hindu Association will also be doing henna and reading a story. This event is open to all members, so please come join us as we learn about and celebrate Diwali!

Join SECPTA friends at the Solon library for a fun evening of fall crafts and Halloween cookie decorating. Come anytime and bring the whole family, older siblings are welcome!

Come enjoy a fun morning filled with coffee, tea and pastries. This month will feature a fun food craft: toast painting and make your own Oreo spider.

Join SECPTA for a fun-filled fall day at Luther’s Farm! Events include storytime, crafts, snacks, corn maze, corn pit slide, petting zoo, and their famous pumpkin cannon. There is a playground to enjoy as well! The event will happen rain or shine, everything is covered except for the corn maze!

Join us at City BBQ 11am-8pm for lunch, dinner, or both! Orders can be placed in person or online via app or website. For in person orders, show out flyer (in the newsletter) or mention the SECPTA promotion and that the code is "GIVE". For online orders just use the promo code "GIVE".

Bring the family, pack a lunch (or visit the refreshment stand, open daily, weather permitting) and relax in the outdoor farm fun area. You can play in the hay stacks and corn crib, climb the tree house in the woods, slide down the 50 foot double slide and wander through our corn maze. Pumpkin painting and pony rides are available for an additional fee. Meet SECPTA at 11 am to get your wristbands, then explore as long as you wish!

Drop in for a self-guided scavenger hunt along the 1.1-mile Ledges Trail at Liberty Park to search for some spooky and not-so-spooky items. Return your completed list to the nature center front desk for a prize. This is a public event so feel free to show up, enjoy the fall colors, and hike at your leisure! *We will not be meeting as a SECPTA group for this event (although you are more than welcome to!) so feel free to attend at a time that works best for your family!*

Join SECPTA at The Elite Gymnastics Academy for an hour of gymnastics games, obstacle courses, and loosely structured instruction on the gymnastics equipment. Coaches will tailor the activities to each child’s age, so the kids will be grouped accordingly. Ages: 18 months+

All general meetings include complimentary childcare in a room immediately adjacent to the meeting room as well as pizza. This year’s childcare will be provided by the On Your Toes Dance Studio Booster Club.

Come hang out with SECPTA and enjoy some donuts and coffee/cider while taking in the fall weather at Patterson Fruit Farm! There are giant wooden playsets, slides, swings; there‘re also some chickens and bunnies. Pack a lunch and stay as long as you’d like.

When you visit Cedar Point‘s HalloWeekends, you‘re in for some fun Halloween attractions for everyone in the family! Not only do you get to experience the amazing rides of Cedar Point, but you‘ll take part in special Halloween fun for the little ones. From the Tricky Corn Maze to pint-sized tractors, the kids will have plenty to enjoy during the daytime fun at HalloWeekends.

Come out and help sell raffle tickets during the Browns vs Ravens game! SECPTA will receive a donation of $75 for each raffle seller (who volunteers the entire shift) PLUS have access to performance bonuses! *Must be 18yrs or older to volunteer* Compensation will be made to the group, not individual participants. Game day parking, meals, and uniforms are also included at no cost. Training is provided to all raffle sellers on game day. Please note: Arrival is at 10:00 AM for training. Kickoff is at 1:00PM Selling will conclude at the end of the third quarter (estimated around 3 hours AFTER kickoff for most games)

Come join us for some fun in the garden! Kids will be able to dig in the mud pit, cook in the mud kitchen, and explore the rest of the garden. Plan to get dirty and dress for the weather. Please one adult only in attendance per family. Ages: 18 months-5 years.

Join SECPTA at Kids Empire, a new indoor play place that offers lots of fun for your little ones (and big siblings too)! Socks are required for everyone. 2 adults get in free per 1 child.

Get creative with your littles at Fairmount Center for the Arts. This special program for SECPTA members will include an hour of dance / movement along with a story and an art project. Ages: 3-5 years.
