Kayak/Canoe Paddling Trip
About this event
Join us for a Sunday afternoon family river outing (or leave the kids at home and paddle alone!) Participants can choose to rent a canoe, single kayak or tandem kayak (or have their own boat transported for a fee). Small children can ride between a parent's legs in a kayak or in the middle of a canoe.
Please contact kate.martin@secpta.net or text 216-645-3312 after registering to let me know how many adults/children will be riding in each boat or with any questions or special circumstances.
We will meet at Camp Hi Canoe & Kayak Livery in Hiram. Our reservation is at 12:00pm but please arrive 15-20 minutes early to pick out life vests and paddles (included) & sign waivers. We will be taking their short trip- 5 miles from Camp Hi south to Buchert Park in Mantua. At a slow pace this trip averages 3 hours to paddle.
Bring drinks & snacks, sunscreen/hats, bug spray, sunglasses (w/strap), extra clothes to change into afterwards, a dry bag for anything that can't get wet.

Attendance will be taken at all field trips, adult outings, fitness, parties, and any other SECPTA events that registrations are required. If you need to cancel a registration for an event please submit through your online member account at www.secpta.net in order to minimize SECPTA's expense for "No-Shows”. No refunds will be given for “no-shows” who have not given 24-hour notification of cancellation. We will be sending at least one reminder e-mail prior to each trip. Refunds will not be issued for any ticketed events unless the ticket can be transferred to another SECPTA member. Please also remember that many trips are subsidized, so a "free" trip to you may not have been free to SECPTA.
