Hattie Larlham: Hattie Larlham is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for and improving the lives of more than 1,500 children and adults with developmental disabilities in Northeast Ohio.
OPEN: The Organized Parent Education Network is a collaborative effort aimed at improving communication between parents and professionals and assisting parents in navigating the special education system by providing information and resources for parents, extending parent support for academic concerns and increasing school and community awareness.
U.S. Department of Agriculture ChooseMyPlate for Preschoolers: a website designed to help parents decide what their youngsters ages 2 to 5 should eat and how much physical activity they need to be healthy. The site also helps parents chart growth, provides sample meal plans and offers some advice on how to deal with picky eaters.
Healthy Solon is “a collaborative wellness effort amongst the City of Solon and Cleveland Clinic Solon Family Health Center, South Pointe Hospital and Hillcrest Hospital. This community health and wellness initiative was developed to promote health awareness by providing programs and opportunities in which all members of the Solon community may benefit.”
Car Seat Recycling Program: UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital has launched a car seat recycling program to provide parents a way to dispose of unneeded, damaged, or unsafe car seats while addressing the three R’s of the green movement – reduce, reuse, recycle.  Refer to the link to find the drop-off location nearest you.
