The Solon Early Childhood PTA (SECPTA) is a non-profit organization serving families with children from birth to kindergarten. Families from Solon and the surrounding area are welcome to join. We offer field trips, playdates, T-Ball, Soccer and various other outings and activities for you and your children. Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday every month at 6:30pm at the Solon Community Center. This is where you can sign up for activities. Each month a speaker is brought in to share valuable information on issues relevant to families with kids. No reservations required and babysitting is available. Come join us for the fun and friends you will make! More information can be found on our membership page.

A Cleveland Metroparks naturalist will guide us on a fun, interactive program for preschool age kids called "The Chickadee Trail." After meeting at Brecksville Reservation nature center for a brief introduction to chickadees, kids will pretend to be chickadees themselves and will hit the trail outside in search of clues about what they eat, where they live, etc. The trail ends at the chickadees' "home." We'll learn lots about these great birds and get to watch them in action! Maximum number of kids for this trip is 20.
Bring all your kids and let them enjoy the supervised (by their staff!) indoor playground while you enjoy a beverage/snack at the onsite café. There is a toddler-specific area for children up to 24 months comprised of cushions, ramps, toys, and a small climbing structure. The larger climbing configuration for older children consists of a series of colorful tubes, slides, climbing structures, obstacle courses, ramps, and stairs. On the other side of the climbing structure, is Gaga Ball which is a kinder/gentler form of dodge ball. The entire play area is separated from the café by a knee high wall with large windows, giving complete line of sight into the play area. Trained staff will supervise the play areas at all times to ensure adherence to the play café rules while assisting the children to maximize their enjoyment of the facilities. Parents/caregivers must remain in the café as “drop-offs” are not permitted. Admission is good for the entire day so stay as long as your kids can handle! Minimum of 20 kids.

Toddler Yoga is combined with story time. A book about yoga is read with kids practicing moves intermittently throughout the session. Cute class for little ones! They prefer we split the class according to age, although I know that can be difficult with siblings. The below times are a guide, however please specify which class is best for you! Maximum of 15 children per class.
